Here they are...the lovely and inspiring Pantone colors for autumn, 2013.
I love, love, love this line-up of gem-like colors! I can see these working in so many new jewelry designs.
She sailed through the talent contest and aced the swim suit phase. Her gown was stunning. Now she's taken the crown. May I present the color of the year? They call her emerald.
I'm crazy about greens and blues so am excited to see green...emerald, if you must...win the big prize. Funny that, as I was going through my jewelry photos, I didn't find many pieces done with emerald. Lots of greens but not this particular shade. I must try to remedy that, as I've purchased a gorgeous, gemmy strand of apple colored emeralds. Watch out, world.
Mykonos blue...what can I say? I'm in love with this rich, bright color. It reminds me of the sea and sky. I once spotted a Western Bluebird dressed in this wild-blue-yonder shade and my heart skipped a beat. She was purty.
Acai...just a fancy, schmancy word for purple. But doesn't acai sound so much better? Purple is the color of royalty and this deep violet shade screams opulence. What better gemstone to say "I'm worth it" than amethyst?
Maybe diamonds. But we're not goin' there.
Wife Whisperer and I have been taking dance lessons for some time now (bless him!) We haven't learned the samba yet, but, if we do, this is the color I'll think of when I dance it...or at least, when we try.
Once upon a time there was a little girl who lived in a village, near a forest...
Red cloak, basket full of goodies, sharp teeth...deep lichen green.
Vivacious...how deep and vibrant and lusciously pink you are. I've been on a tear for pink, for the last few years so I know my pinks, and this one really needs to be named "raspberry." I'm so attracted to this shade that almost all of my golf gear has some touch of raspberry. It just makes me feel better when I'm out there sweating and swinging.
It makes me look, well...vivacious. As a golfer.
Talk about your neutral. This color is a definite go-to.
It's a Houston sky, in August. It's pyrite. It's turbulence. Not good for airplane rides but fantastic for jewelry designs.
Also, I like coffee. A lot.
So, there you have it, my friends. The color round-up for fall. I'd love to see what you're doing with this palette!
