Houston, Texas
Feb 28-March 3, 2013
My in-person teaching schedule is pretty much firmed up for 2013 so I thought I'd update ya'll. First off, I'll be at the fabulous Adorn Me, right here in Houston, for the third time. I SO love this venue; not just because it's right in my backyard but also because it's entirely devoted to jewelry making. If you're into it, this is the place to be. Let me show you a few details about what I'm teaching at Adorn Me...
On tap will be my very popular "Bloom Bangles" class. In fact, I was grateful that this class sold out super quickly at Art Unraveled, last year so check it out, early.
I'm also offering a longer version of my "Resin Paper Wire Forms" class (another one that sold out quickly) which will be really cool because we're going to work on some more complicated shapes and techniques than what I could do in an evening class. We'll have time for me to show you my scroll links...you'll love them.
I'm so excited to offer one of my very favorite classes to teach...Wax On. This class is so much FUN! I love teaching it because the students are always surprised and excited to find out what we're making to include in our bezels. We do it first thing, in class, and...well...I can't say any more because it would just ruin the surprise. So, we make this amazing inclusion, I show you how to create your very own, unique bezel, then we fill it and, wa-la!...(that's how we say it in Texas)...gorgeous!
Hoop-La is a brand spanking new class that I've also very excited about. Just look at the texture on these hoops.
We'll be doing hoops in different shapes, textures, embellishments and techniques. I adore making and wearing earrings and I think you will too. Plus, hoops never go out of style. Yay.
Round Top, Texas
April 26-28, 2013
I'm thrilled to be returning, once more, to the incredible Prairie. If you haven't been to this venue, you just have to come experience it for yourself. The artful camaraderie is matched by the incredible, intimate, shabby-chic atmosphere of the venue. It's just a terrific experience, all the way around. Let me show you a few photos of The Prairie and you'll see what I mean:
You see...my dear friend, Barb, owner and organizer extraordinaire, just does everything she possibly can to make it special for the students. And she does a fabulous job!
So, the other reason I'm so happy about this venue is that I have two new classes for you, as well as a very popular class I haven't offered in a while. All of the class details are listed, here, but I'll show them to you, anyway. Here we go...
Sacred Heart Book Pendant...new, new, new. There's so much packed into this class that I'm hoping we can finish it all. I'm finally going to teach how I make my stacked "book" pendants! This one is a beauty because we're also going to do some fold-forming and, yes...some sawing. Come on...jump in...the water's fine!
In "Go Big!" I'm going to show you how to make your very own, great big, beautiful, Texas sized, statement piece. I've been drawn to big "wow" pieces lately and we're going for it, in this class. I'll show you some great spoke elements, as well.
Finally, I'm once again offering my "JouJou Charm Keeper" class. Everybody loves this one and some of you have been waiting a very long time to take it. Now's your chance! This one is another class where I'm cramming in tons of techniques. It's going to be great fun.
So, that's just for the spring. In May, I'll be in Coronado, California and, beyond that, check out the rest of my schedule...here.
I'm also in the process of figuring out my online teaching schedule but, tentatively, I'll offer something in the spring, summer and fall semesters. I'm really hoping to see some of you, in person, as well. Love to you!
