What a wonderful (new) kitchen! And your the picture and story concerning Miss Maggie vs carpenters chalk is hysterical. Thank you for the giggle!

OMG! Maggie! I'm dying here-what a little imp she is. I'm also dying at your countertops and sink - second thoughts are seeping in ... beginning to wish maybe I'd gone granite rather than concrete - and I don't even have it installed yet! 2 more weeks until the cabinets go in, then the concrete countertop/sink. Then the glass tile.
I'm dying to see how both of our reno's go.
Hugs!

Your kitchen is looking gorgeous. Much too beautiful to actually cook in. At least, I wouldn't - I'd be afraid to mess things up.

Beth Marx

Your kitchen is looking gorgeous Deryn, can't wait to see the final unveiling. Love your dog, how adorable is she with her colors.

Diana Frey

Love the counter tops and sink!!! It is so exciting renovating....not so fun during the demolition and rebuild but when you stand back and see the finished project, it is fabulous and well worth the mess.

Our dog was the same when we had builders here..always trying to nose in to their stuff...looks like Maggie succeeded! Your kitchen is looking great..the granite is beautiful.

Gorgeous counters and miss maggie is precious! I remember when the installers brought our kitchen island top in and had to cut it in place for the cooktop, I wanted to run from the house screaming! But you're nearing the end and it's looking so pretty!! Isn't that what they say, it hurts to be beautiful??

LeAnn

My goodness, but I thought you had done some sort of designer do on Miz Maggies snout.

Susie Land

I want to come and live in your kitchen! This is going to be beautiful, it is already.....
Miss Maggie looks very American - red, white and blue. My dog, Caleb, eats everything, cleaning up the yard is like finding treasures....well, sort of. Very arty when he eats dishtowels and/or crayons.....excuse me, this is getting out of hand, lol. With a clever dog, there's no way to hide everything.

Linda Byrd

What a cute dog! and I LOVE that sink!

Kelly Jeanette

Lovely counter tops! But love Miss Maggie. So cute.

Lululiz

I love the colour of those worktops!!! Quite like the colour of your dog as well, lol, although I do hope its not permanent.

Shirley Moore

Oh, that is too funny! Did it come out? I am so in love with the cabinetry of the sink too. I love cabinets that look like furniture. We have yet to put in backsplash tiles, but I'm going to show my hubs this pic, I really like the diamond shape. Thanks for the pics! :)

Oh my, Miss Maggie! The secrets you must know...

Beautiful granite, Deryn!

Erin Prais-Hintz

Oh my! That snout is so adorable! I miss having a pup. I love the new granite. My kitchen has a similar color. This looks so lovely, I hope you will reveal the whole thing when it is done when the dust settles!
Enjoy the day.

She is soooo adorable - what a precious photo! Maybe she got the dates mixed up and thinks it is Halloween. The kitchen looks lovely so far! Like working a giant necklace!

Georgene Lockwood

Lookin' GOOD Deryn. Having gone through a renovation to create a studio a couple of years ago where they dug out the basement with a jackhammer (!) I know from dust. At least it wasn't in the living area of the house! This, too, will pass and you're going to have one killer kitchen!!!

Cynthia @ Ornamental Style

Loving the preview of things to come! It's looking gorgeous. And that photo of Miss Maggie made me laugh. Hope it's not permanent or you may have to come up with a Halloween costume for her based on her new look.

KJ

I am so jealous of that sink. Beautiful all the way around.

Renate

Oh my - Miss Maggie has gone punk! Or is she trying out the red, white and blue?
Your kitchen is starting to look yummy - but I bet you will be happy when the dust is finally over...

Danee Kaplan

Miss Maggie: Hey mom, what's up?
you: Maggie, what did you do?
Miss Maggie: Huh? What? Nothin'….you look pretty…
you: Where have you been?
Miss Maggie: Oh, in my bed, the couch, the usual…
you: Maggie Sue (or appropriate middle name) what have you been doing?
Miss Maggie: Um….well…..I….
You: BUSTED!
Miss Maggei: (How…..how did she know? She must have eyes in the back of her head!)

FryeStyle

Oh what a sweet dog! Better safe this pic...it would be good for Indepedence Day! Love the granite!!

lisa jurist

your kitchen is looking awesome...love the big sink..but miss maggie takes the cake...too precious!!

Paula orf

Beautiful counter top n sink.

Pam The Crazier Sister

(~snork~) Typical, nosy dog! We have one that's a Weimeriner and, even at nearly 10, just about everything he finds goes in his mouth. We've learned that 2tbs of olive oil a day is an excellent semi-laxative for a dog who's swallowed what he should not (coats the intestines and makes it easier to ahh... "return what was taken") Also, canned pumpkin works well (just in case your dog is nosier than you let on). Our vet says the high fiber content pushes everything thru.
