I'm ready to welcome students to my Winged Things class this weekend. The house is clean, the class kits are made, the torches are filled. The cookies are baked...serious buttery goodness. These are the kind of cookies you sneak into the kitchen for, at three in the morning. The kind of cookies that you fight your kids for. The kind that go straight to your gluteus maximus region! Is there any better variety? There were a few misshapen ones that I felt the students wouldn't want so...I, um...ate those. I promise, I left a few on the plate!
Dream Cookies
2 1/4 c flour
3/4 t baking soda
1/2 t salt
1 c butter
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c brown sugar
1 egg
2-3 t orange zest
12 oz. white chocolate chips
1 c craisins
Combine flour, baking soda and salt and set aside. Beat butter and sugars until creamy. Beat in egg and orange zest. Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in white chocolate chips and craisins. Drop by rounded spoonful onto cookie sheet (I use a baking stone) and bake at 350 degrees for 12-14 minutes. Cool on rack.
Look for a similar recipe I posted here.

Your class sounds like fun. And those cookies look delicious! And they can't be all that bad since they have healthy raisins in them...right?

Cookies!!!!!!! Yum.
Craisins???????? Have never heard of craisins. Are they dried cranberries, maybe? Kinda sorta?
Anyway - I know you and the students are going to have a fantastic time. And then you are going to have cookies. Does it get any better than that?
