I'm in the process of editing my DC photos, no small feat as there are many. In the meantime, here's a little something to consider...
Following quick on the heels of ArtBliss, I'll be teaching my Winged Things class at Bead Fountain, in College Station, Texas on October 16th.
You can probably tell from the class samples that this is going to be a great class. These little winged creatures are so much fun to make...downright addicting!
I'm looking forward to meeting some of the Texas gals and also seeing my guys. College Station is only about an hour twenty from my house and it's where a big part of my heart now resides. My boys are sharing an apartment there, going to school so I'll get to stay a night with them while I'm in town. So sweet that they welcome me into their little man-cave. I'm sure they're busy disinfecting even as I write this.
It seems there are only 7 spots left for this class so, if you're inclined, click here for the description and you'll see a "sign me up" button to the right. I'd love to see you there!
Oh....also, don't forget I'm doing a giveaway. Leave me a comment on my previous post (not this one) to win one of my ArtBliss bags. To show my adoration for all of you faithful readers, and especially for you commentors (I love that you take that extra minute to speak to me!) I've decided to sweeten the deal by adding a little something inside the bags. I'm not sure what it will be but I'm off to Round Top today for an extended antiquing excursion, so....

Brittany likes the one with music notes.:) It looks great!

Looks like a great class. I met Susie (the one who did the art work for the add/button for this event)at Round Top. Susie, Diane & I hung out for about 3 days. She is so sweet & very talented. Hope you had a good time & a good turn out. Charlene

OMG! Those are adorable! Will you have a tutorial to purchase for those who can't take your class?

OMG!!! Those winged things are just the cutest. I found you through Seth's "The Altered Page" blog. Any chance you will be traveling to the New England area to teach this class. I would take it in a heartbeat!!!

I have loved your winged things since the first time you posted them!
I actually just recently made a couple of necklaces using dragonfly wings as an inspiration.

Deryn, your new Winged Things class looks like so much fun! I know everyone who took your Musical Notes class had such high praises...you can teach resin like no other! I'm happy to hear you'll be visiting with your boys, as I can only imagine you miss them so!

Very fun - I am loving your hammered metal too!
I noticed "Art Bliss" was one of your venues. I have never heard of it but will definitely check it out for next year. It was even close enough for me to attend.
Very nice blog you have here!

Of course, you know I love these little winged creatures. I still wear mine. And I'm nuts about the necklace treatment you've done here. I gotta try that. It looks kinda " Susan-esque" - which is a good thing! No wonder she has you on her design team.
