...wear what the wild Westerners wear.
I know what you're thinking..."gosh, does she really need another pair of cowboy boots?" Well, heck yeah.
Here's the thing... Dan's Western Wear, a fixture for 90 years in the local landscape of Sheridan, Wyo, is calling it quits. They're the kind of good, old fashioned business that can help you out with anything from what kind of boots to get to the history of most everything and everyone in and around town.
It's sad to see Dan's go and I felt I should pay my respects with a last visit to the store. What do you know? These pretty little things were waiting for me...and at a deep deep discount. Yipeekiyiyay.

Ever since I found your blog, cowboy boots haunt me... my son is on a trip in the US and mailed me that he might come home with real cowboy boots... that was JUST after I read your former post. I love this post too, but am a little afraid what will follow next week. My beloved with cowboyboots? My dad??? My mom??????? Have a great weekend!

Cowgirl Queenie,
So enjoyed coffee & our brief, but FUN time together in Cody. You looked so FAB in those cowgirl boots, but still think you should shoot for the Old Gringos too ;)
Oh, and don't forget to show off that ring! What a find!
Thinking of you.

A girl can never have enough shoes .....or in your case, Deryn, "boots". I can see why you couldn't pass these beauties up. Have fun wearing them girlfriend.

Had to come back to tell you I got my first pair of cowgirl boots yesterday. They are rubber rain boots, painted with colorful designs all over. I almost wish it would rain. (No, I can wait, we get too much rain here in the N.W.!) Cowgirl Rain Boots!!!
Woo-Ha!!!!

Our "all things boots and more" store here is Kleinshmidt's Western Store.
But I got MY cowboy boots at a flea market-- they were already broken so I look like I've already ridden the range and frequent road houses. :)
Great tribute to Dan's btw. You've got a great souvenier in those boots.

They are indeed beautiful. The stitching is certainly a work of art, absolutely lovely. I just know you will enjoy wearing them.:o)
Happy rest of the week to you.

What were you doing in Sheridan WY? Please don't tell me you live there! We just moved back to the Seattle area from there a couple of months ago. My son and daughter-in-law, and my daughter and granddaughter still live there!

I loved it and was quite mad when he wanted us to leave and go back to *home in SC. Didnt talk to him for days! Sad to see these landmark places close.
