I spent this weekend with dear friends whom I haven't seen in ages. The kind of friends you pick right back up with no matter where you left off. What a blessing to have that "family" experience with them. The feel-good is still there, it's a beautiful, sunny day and I'm ready to dive in. I'll watch the day go by from inside...but that's ok. I'll be working on the online class Sharon and I are putting together. You might have heard me talking about it in my last post...or maybe on my Facebook page where I posted a few sneak peeks of our class samples. I'm almost finished with them and to say that I'm excited by what we're doing with this workshop is an understatement. I like (love!) the samples even more than I thought I would...much more. I'm thinking you're going to fall head over heels for them, as well.
The name: Of Towers and Turrets describes what we'll be doing in this class...creating our own dreamland of towers; constructing and embellishing these tiny fantasy structures into beautiful, wearable art. Imagine: a crowned castle wall...an elaborate fortress...a soaring spire...an embellished steeple...a floating butterfly here and there...and, yes a lovely princess. Sharon is an amazing painter and she's got a special surprise for our students.
We're hoping to get registration up and running for our class very soon. In the meantime, we continue to polish desks, sharpen pencils and bang dust from chalkboard erasers, preparing the classroom for our students! Stay tuned...

More torture!! Can't wait to see what the class is like-- you sre know how to extend the anticipation! It sounds just wonderful.

I am literally on pins and needles waiting for more!!!
I love sketching faces. I bead, I embroider, I make jewelry, fabric art. I've recently learned how to solder. The thought of combining all of the above is totally blowing my mind.
Glee-fully, anticipating...... in West Palm Beach!!!

I just discovered your blog and art today, and I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed my visit here. Your work (jewelry, photography, art, etc.) is really inspiring and I'm so glad to see that you too are a gravestone art enthusiast.
