"Jump Shot"
Jump shot: A shot in which the cue ball or object ball is caused to rise off the bed of the table.
I absolutely adore this necklace. So much so, that I totally copied it from Jen. Well, not totally, mine is a tiny bit different, but mostly...I copied it from Jen. Jen had the brilliant idea to use one of Susan's brand new staple bezels from Objects and Elements, with a couple of their pool ball slices. (By the way, the 7 ball is supposed to be a shade of red...anyone know why this one isn't?)
Wife Whisperer is a long time player (who would have guessed that?) and one of the early things we did together was play pool. Ok...my job was to stand at the side of the table and look good...or smart...or something. I can't play worth beans. But, he can. In fact, we both grew up with pool tables in the house and have one now. I still can't play.
But, I think this is a spectacular use of vintage pool balls. And, these staple bezels are ingenious! Objects and Elements has so many new and clever offerings.
This is really fitting in with my biker chick/cowgirl groove. Now, I just need a bike...or a pick-up...or a horse or something...

Since my husband just surprised me with a new pick-up maybe I should get this to go with it...!!

I love that you took my idea and reinterpreted it your way. It's not like I haven't done the same from you girlie! Seriously fun and I love the multiple wraps for the bail. I'm so jealous of your photos. It was a cloudy day when I took mine and I haven't had time to re-shoot. Great, now I HAVE to get my act together. (lol)
Soooo, question for you, which boots are you wearing on your next date night? Cowboy or Harley Davidson???

So cool, and those staple bezels are neat.

The pool balls are probably Bakelite and some of the colors change over the years...don't know the chemical reason but something like sunlight changes them..Perhaps they sat outside for awhile at a flea market..Anyhow loving this

I love this, perhaps because my b-day just happens to be 7/7. Or perhaps because it is just flat out fabulous!

I guess I've always had a bit of the biker chick in me and definitely the cowboy. I saw Jen's necklace and I love your interpretation as well. It looks like a lot of work and fine craftsmanship went into it. Beautiful job...

This as they say is the bee's knees or way cool or in more appropriate biker/cowgirl language It's Bitc*** (sorry but I really hate the taste of soap!) :)
Hmm are the balls different colors when they are snooker balls??? or Billiards as opposed to pool?? I betcha google knows!
Oh man little sis, is this where we should start worrying about you disappearing for the afternoon and coming home with a cute little dragonfly tattoo on a part of your body that doesn't see a whole lot of public sun??? :)

Naw - you don't need any of that - just look good while looking the part! That's easy for you.
Love the necklaces.

Oh-Oh-Oh-Oh-Oh, this is just great! I love the flat wire wrapping you did around the cord. How did you do this? This is my new favorite of yours.
