There's a new girl in town. She keeps me company during the day and her special assignment is to adorn my jewelry display table at vendor events.
She's agreed to wear at least one piece of my jewelry, along with her crown.
And, she wears it so well! Speaking of her crown, it came all the way from Uncommon Objects, especially to ornament her lovely head.
She's quite the impressive muse and I'm deeply in love with her. Lucky me to find such a heavenly creature in my treasure hunts!
Who wouldn't want to buy a piece of jewelry from her?
When I saw this, I recognized it as her jewel box.
It truly is quite spectacular and she had been sorely missing it.
I knew it was hers as the color and style perfectly fit her.
I'm not sure how the lady became separated from her pretty box but they're back together now.
Sadly, her jewels are long gone. But, I think we can fix that...

Your new studio friend is truly beautiful...what great company you are in! And that jewelry box...it is a DREAM find. Really! I would be jumping up and down if I found one so beautiful (quite rare!).

She really IS lovely, and I'm sure you will be able to fill her jewelry box with fitting treasures, made just for her!

She's come home indeed. She's so lovely, and that crown and earrings are the perfect touch. How beautiful! She's so lucky to have found a home with you!
(And, dear lord, I have FINALLY completed that auction project I was sawing CDs for, I tacked it up on the blog and it will go to auction in a day or two! I'm so happy to have it done at last. I hope it makes money, it's definitely a labour of love and learning.)
...And then my saw frame broke so now I have to fix the wingnut before I can use it again!

Oooh Deryn, she is such a perfectly, lovely ::angel::goddess::queen:: and a TREASURE! "Ma Lady" popped into my head, for her name!
The second I saw her, she reminded me of one of DJ Petit's paintings!!

Oh Deryn i am positively drooling over those fab earings! What are the main dangle parts made from? Some kind of gem/special glass? They look so very great, what great design too! Wonderful job on them.

What a coincidence! I have this same darling lady too! I got her at the antique store on FM2920 about 3 years ago... and I thought I had the one and only... LOL! Now I need a crown like the one you found -- and some of those kewl earrings, too! xoxo

What a lovely muse you have staying with you and her treasure box is exquisite....empty...but all the same exquisite. You must show us the jewels you design and place in this most beautiful box.
Hugs

I will look for this beauty when I come to the Houston Bead show in a few weeks. It will be lovely to meet you. I enjoyed the cemetery pictures you've shared. I have a few of my own, too.

Such beauty, such personality! She looks like a Renaissance queen. Seems like I'll have to make a trip to Houston to stock up on some antiquities myself!

Oh, oh, oh!!!! She is soooo beautiful, Deryn!!! Truly a heavenly creature - such grace! Are those wings I sort of see in the background - or am I imagining things?
Lovely jewelbox too!
BTW, my last post was about my fleamarket trip on Sunday - if you would like a look at a German flea market...
