I've been working in my jewelry journal again. Can you believe it? Me...making time to journal. I have to thank you, Misty, for getting me charged up about my jewelry journal. I've kept a jewelry journal for some time now but, it's been a sad, little, quick-sketch affair. It's been a long time since I've kept any kind of real art journal and Misty's January challenge really got me jump started! This week's prompt was "emotions" and, while this page doesn't exactly portray any one emotion, it represents, for me, the excitement and inspiration I've felt working on my journal pages this last month. It's something I intend to continue. Here's to the creative journey!

This is a great page Deryn.

Fab idea, Deryn! ;o) I keep an ideas book but it's not very exciting and inspired by your lovely page I think I'll pilfer (in the nicest possible way!) your idea and start a jewellery art journal too! Thanks for sharing. ;o)

Journals, jewelry... the medium doesn't matter, anything you touch you make it beautiful :)

I haven't left a comment for a while but have been visiting often and drooling over your art. You are always an inspiration to me. I really love your latest art work.

You go, girl! I think your journal is coming along nicely. I have never been one to keep a journal for my artistic projects. I had to keep one in school and found myself rushing to complete it the day before it was do. I like the fact you are mixing up your media in many ways!xoxoxoxo

That is pretty cool Deryn!
I doodle my designs somtimes, which looks exactly like your style of doodles. But I *really* like the idea of creating a colored background for them and creating a journal with collage around them!
That is cool!
I am guessing that this is a sketch of the piece on your blog title?

That is really nice Deryn - Hope this doesn't sound like a dumb question but do you start with a white page and paint it or do you collage the whole thing?
