Boho Chic earrings
I made these really cool and groovy earrings for a bohemian, hippy chic friend of mine. I used Linda Larsen's design from the Winter 2006 issue of Step by Step Wire Jewelry. The hoops are made of hammered 14 gauge sterling wire with turquoise, bone, antler, glass, African jade and silver dangles. The earrings aren't oxidized yet because, strangely, when I got out my liver of sulpher it didn't work. It also didn't smell...at all! If you've ever used liver of sulpher you know it has a very distinctive odor (sort of like a sick skunk!). It seems like my liver of sulpher has somehow been replaced with water. Wonder how that happened...???
